perception 220 mic and profire 610

hey i just purchased the mic... and i hooked it up to the pro fire 610... the only software i have for recording vocals is FL studio (i hear its not the best choise)

i get a lot of room noise in the recording..and a lot of Hiss... im only about 5 feet away from the pc when i record and the quality is not that good.. i must be doing something wrong if anyone can point out a few things i would appreciate it..

Treat your room. Condenser mics are really sensitive. Make sure it is quiet, have absorption are the mic (Acoustic treatment or even a big blanket behind the vocalist) and make sure to speak into the right side of the mic. Common mistake.
