i need some feedback on a beat i just made, some honest opinions would be great.

That's not bad at all!
Except the fact that I hate the symbals, a bassdrum scratch like the one you use is much cooler if you don't use it in such a short loop, that kinda accent sounds often much better if we have to wait and can look forward to hear it.

I make the same kinda instrumentals, dark and heavy

Word up! thanks for checkin it. what do you exactly mean about the scratch, that one flew over my head.

you got some **** i can peep, i like the dark soundin ****.:D
 
What I mean is; if it's a good scratch, you can **** it up by overusing it.

Nah, my computer isn't linked to my production tools, it's my dad's computer actually, I got no internet connection upstairs in my 'studio', sorry about that.

I'd like to check some other intsumentalz you made.

Yeah. It was pretty decent. Nice underground beat. I dont have a problem with the cymbols so much, except they do sound a bit out of place, I think they are too "bright" or "light" sounding for the overall track. Maybe turn the tone down on them if u can or throw a light bass sound behind them. Just a suggestion.
 
Yeah... I like it.. it's d0pe... just fix the cymbals, they are a little out of place...and loud. and that piano is just too complex for me *sarcasm*... I think you were going for a pizzicato string type of thing there?... Other than that it's a pretty tight beat.

All in all... just re-master it since that's 50% of your post-product... fix those cymbals, and that singleshot piano and you've got something I could get up and rock at a party... or in the car... or freestylin in the bathtub. Or would that be freeballin...?

Tight. I'd just cut the volume on the cymbal, or compress it.
I'm just curious, I like that dark style of hip hop a lot, but where do you guys pull most of your samples from? I get some better ones of movies, but can never find anything cool on vinyl.

Any suggestions?
 
Thanks for checkin it out i need the feedback, ya i gotta work on that cymbal. As far as the sample and **** go just try and find weird music that you normally wouldn't listen to you'll find some gems.;)

Sorry to say it, but I don't like it. There's just something about it I don't dig, but anyway. I'm VERY picky with my beats so u shouldn't take my critic that harsh :)

Not bad. I'd like to hear some more ish too. Just curious, was the drum beat a pre-sampled loop? I thought it might be cuz I didn't hear any variation in the pattern. No matter though. You got me with it cuz of the Monch sample. Anything with him in it must be dope just cuz you know the producer of it is a HEAD.

I like the beat but it could be beta if you took out the cymbal that is more for a dance track and id like to hear more beats from you and put some lyrics in if you can and see what it turns out like.
