Fact? Nope....
I really suggest you put one of these proffesional Mp3 players to the test. I can mix WAY better with my PCDJ software then I ever could with ANY dual deck CD player! Belive me, this is not only my opinion here. With Vinyl, there are things that could never be done on a computer....but, there are some definate things I can do with my computer I could never do with vinyl.
In the end...isn't all about the music and how the crowd is feelin you?
I am not new to this in the least...I have now been DJing for 8 years...mostly club gigs. If sound quality is what you are worried about, then this is also not a problem in the least...if you encode your tracks at a higher bit rate, such as 192 constant sterio, it is so near CD quality that the majority of people can not tell the difference.
You still have no valid point here? Only that maybe you are a little stuck on yourself and set in your ways...
But to deny this is just being nieve. These systems are being encorporated everywhere. Pick up the last copy of DJ Times Mag or Club Systems International, both have great review articles on Mp3 clubs systems.
You can stand still...or move foward and learn everything there is to know about this business and where it is going. Nowadays, Djs are a dime a dozen ( turntables outsold Guitars in the US 2 to 1 last year!)......the more tools you can add to your arsenal the better.
Or, just be another one of the heard.....
Now THIS is the truth...
At least how i see it.
