mix of midi keyboard and mpc are not bad but i recommend get a seperate midi keyboard something like alesis qx49 and seperate mpc pad if you low budget get an mpd 18-24-26 or 32 you can have the alesis qx49 and mpd 18 for less then 300$ on ebay but mpk 49 is not bad to i have the alesis qx49 and mpd 18 and i think its fantastic if your a new producer can make alot of thing with it what ever getting equipement for making music is always a good choice if you love what you do
