1). You can't criticize someone for being on the DL. Not everyone has the friend/support of a "Loud and Proud" gay lifestyle. If you came from a religious/traditional family that condemned homosexuality, a friend circle that would ostracize you, and a career that may end because of your orientation, then coming out isn't necessarily an easy thing to do. (However, leaving a wife and kids because you "came out" is wrong IMO)

2). Omarion coming out isn't a real "shocker." Therefore, I feel the original topic of this thread is utterly useless.

3). Modus - I'm not criticizing you because you may be "homophobic" - that's your deal. I will say, however, that I feel your fear of homosexuality goes WAAYY deeper than just paranoia about AIDS... I feel you may have an unnatural dislike/disgust of homosexuality. Were you touched by a gay man as a child? You seem to make it apparent that you get it in with the ladies - that's cool, but you try awfully hard to make that known. Do you project your own fear of homosexuality on others? Are you gay? Modus, do you like men? When alone, do you often massage the inside of your mouth with phallic-esque household items?

These are all questions you need to answer for yourself...

People are predisposed to believing irrational things (such as the supernatural) and it is a side effect of having evolved a highly developed imagination, so believing in some kind of god is more common than not.

While Atheism is on the rise it is nothing compared to the amount of apathetic people who just don't think about it.

You forget one fact just because you cant prove something doesn't mean its not true. I believe there are aliens, ghost, spirits alot of supernatrual things.

imagination is another word for having an open mind. Just imagine where we would be historically as a species if we couldn't imagine. Imagining created the wheel, the first spear and arrow, the first clothing, the first shelter, communication, the first civilizations, the first democracy etc. Point being evey great idea was just an imagination until the motions were put in place to make it a reality.

We are predestined to imagine its vital for us to evolve and grow as a species.

That is a logical fallacy known as an "argument from ignorance" and it is a worthless argument that has nothing to do with the truth.

For example: Just because you can't prove to me that you don't secretly want to have sex with a dog doesn't mean it's not true.

We are kind of on the same page here, but what I am saying is that the belief in the supernatural stems from how we have evolved to think, and it is part of the same package that allows us to use our imagination to create things or to understand how another person feels.

Every culture on Earth has developed some supernatural belief and that is a side effect of how we think about and direct our thoughts toward changing and having some kind of say over our environment, so magical thinking is actually quite natural despite being irrational. If your car rolls away, you might tell it to "Stop!" even though it will not listen to you, it's just part of how we think.

How about this example: Just because police acuse you of murder and 2 witnesses say you fit the description of a murderer, but the police have no other hard evidence so they cant prove you actually killed anyone and have to let you go doesn't mean its not true.

See how your rhetoric in general is irrelevant to the point? Bottom line is, REALITY is that you cant prove that God, ghost, aliens or other super natrual entities dont exist. You can choose not to believe but that proves nothing.

It's a dirty trick used by people who have no real argument.

The truth is implied not established, the argument is designed to shift the burden of proof or demand negative proof, for example "prove you are not gay"

There is an implication but you are not actually stating that I actually murked someone so to say it doesn't mean it's not true, discounts an alternative option that the murder never took place at all. It is a trick question.
