I mean, I suppose.

I think I interpreted where RSE was going with this but I'm ultimately here for the music first and community second. -- I tune a lot of that auxilary **** out. I didn't think the song (or the rest of the soundclick) RSE posted up was BAD though. It's actually not a bad starting place to be honest.

Me personally I don't think I could consider someone on the internet a hater though. they can have extreme "dislike" for me sure, but thats not enough to warrant them as a hater. -- simply, because not everybody is going to like me from jumpstreet.

The haters I've encountered in my life have tried to rob me, kill me, kill my fiance', and then some. THOSE mother****ers? -- yeah to stoop that low they probably DO hate me. I can still interact with somebody who merely "dislikes" me though.
 
Im convinced either RSE has some kind of mild autism or he is trolling. Nobody can be this deluded.
 
He gets a lot of people in to his posts. Your sounds are still weak, what are you using?

damn dude, those arent haters! their criminals! lol. Haters are usualy law abiding citizens (to a fault) and can include cops or fire fighters.

Pretty much anyone can use self righteousness in a passive aggressive way.

I agree with you though. Its about music primarily. All the other jokes and fooling around are a seperate thing. I ask em Since when does the internet or this website have to be so serious. I am here primarily to learn about and talk about music and tastes and opinions, (an important part of supplementing my taste and choices in my own creations) and I usually try to seperate the serious threads from the jokes. Thats why you see me ignoring hater comments on real threads and trying to keep the hater brigade on the drama threads.

Its mostly now that I got that soundclick "someone mentioned thars gold up in them ther hills" so I got curious about that and got my Soundclick early. So now people attack my music even though that should be off limits on a site filled with beginners. I dont attack anyones music and its innapropriate and crosses the line when people do it to me. I still need more time, I havent been doing this long and everyone has to start somewhere.

The usual suspect from komplete and omnisphere. But I dont spend time finding the right sounds. I just randomly pick the first or second instrument i stumble upon and start laying stuff down to practice.

Also realize that all my beats were made in 20 minutes because I simply am still learning everything and I am very uncomfortable spending too much time on one song because I still am learning what I even need to learn.

Have you ever been so new at something you dont even know where to begin to learn what you even need to know? Thats where I am. Self teaching myself and slowly building small habits and overcomming small obstacles here and there. I didnt even know what the big picture of composing was until lately, and the idea of chorus verses and bridges still intimidates me. So that why I get anxious for now because I am so overwhelmed. soon though I will be more in control and comfortable. i get more in control every day. Sometimes its a simple as, I dont have any tree and I dont have the willingness to sit there and craft a beat because im too sober. Or sometimes I get too high lol. And I know nova was saying to sit down and force the issue but I just CANT! So my learning will ramp up once I have a certain method developed and laid out. For now I will be the first to tell you my beats are pretty wack and it helps me to know that for sure by having a soundclick so I dont wonder... what if... I know for a fact lol because people rarely buy. So i believe it. As I continue to upload songs i can get instant feedback though. And it gives me a goal instead of an arbitrary place to host my music. It painted the road way more clearly just by having my soundclick and I learned a lot trying to make it. So everything is all gravy here. I am just progressing forward in my own timeline of learning.

Since my last post... I've already come up with a beat skeleton for the weekend... got on my crappy Sony headphones...

You ain't ready Robot... 15 minutes in... two fingers - no theory loop... (gonna be better this weekend)



Songs about people you grew up with as kids that later turned out to be bank robbers, crackheads, drunks, ho's, etc...

I wish I had Omnisphere, or any heavy duty VST for that matter, I should probably invest in some better **** in the future.

Your soundclick is cold because it's got some good graphics without the overweight of flash. JJ's **** used to be cold but I hate loading that mother****er. he can get the same point across with just a few high quality .png's or gif's.

People will probably hate it because they feel your talent doesn't justify either the layout or you selling for that matter. who cares if you stick around long enough you'll probably grow into the ****.

NOVA's got a point though. you should be able to go crank out beats whenever you feel like it. If I only went to my keyboards when I was inspired I'd never be there. Inspiration usually comes after I start dicking around for 4-5minutes.

AHAHA. Word? Know that a big part of being the Alpha male that you wish you were is not having to explain your actions, words, or work to anybody - especially strangers on the internet .

A real alpha male or a MAN for that matter wouldn't make 1,000 word excuses for himself or anything he does.

Keep doin you and focus on that music. I believe anyone on here, including you, can and will be successful. Stay down until you come up - its a simple and old saying that carries 100 times more weight than your 2,000 word posts about why you arn't good yet.

What Biggrome said about theory I completely agree. The problem with theory and also the reason why your music sounds off is because you spend so much time learning and not doing.I am by no means an expert I'm newer to this than you are (3 months in). But every beat I make I improve you just learn by doing.. not sitting there and reading about ear pleasing chord progressions. I do think theory can help with Learning what chords are being played just by listening to a song. Also knowing what you are playing makes organizing your ideas a bit easier but after that you need to start capturing the emotion and that is something theory cannot help you do. Theory is only 1/4th of the equation I feel music is Concept Emotion Rhythm Theory. Just my 2 cents.
 
hahaha okay big money. keep doin you. if you're not out for advice, do us all a favor and start a blog - it'd be a better place to keep your big longwinded rants about how you're just learning and dont' know what VSTs to use and don't know how to do this and that and blah-blah-blah

and if being an e-stalker is replying to the **** you put out on a public forum and calling you out on being a clown than fine - I guess I'm e-stalking
