Hey guys, first post. . .cheers.

I need to know how to get my Nord Lead to transmit MIDI an octave higher. The manual is not very clear on this. I'm controlling an Oberheim OB3.

thanks in advance, jf

it doesn´t if you shift your keys of the clavia with one octave ? (your clavia doesn´t have a octave up/down button you can push?) I can´t imagine any other/ more complicated way to do this.

The Clavia does have the oct shift button, but it's not transmitting over MIDI--just works on internal voices. In the manual, the function is described as being MIDI controller # 17, and controller name: "General Purpose #2". I don't know what this means unfortunately.

thanks a lot, j

aha, I´m afraid I´m not enough of a programmer to help you out there, I´m more a player than a technical genius.
And you make me think twice about buying a clavia in rack version.
good luck.

oh man the nord RULES
believe me, I'm way more player than progr too

it's one of my all time faves and I've used many

I know the clavia´s rule. I wanna buy a NL2 or modular in a few months. I wish I had the money for a NL3, but I don´t. Or let´s just say I´d rather buy a fizmo and a NL2 than just the NL3...
But the only clavia I´ve tried uptill now is the NL3.
But it´s very frustrating not to change octaves, and the whole thing with the clavia´s is that nothing is frustrating since the interface is so great.
definetely since I´m used to menu-driven rolands

I have a nord lead 2 keyboard. It has 4 octive pich. (buttone up/down)

If you are playing a piece into your sequencer and you decide it at the wrong pitch or octive, just go into ur editor highlight the notes and move them up or down.

Is this what you need to know? Otherwise im not sure you mean. explain.....
Tristan.

Thanks for the reply. No, this is a live situation, no sequencer involved. I'm just triggering the Obie Hammond module with the Nord keys.

thx
