Good stuff, I totally agree bro
Word!
I personaly believe that those producers selling non-exclusive beats are just there to take advantage of young artist that are foolish enough to think that with 10 or 15 beats, a mic, they will become the next 50cent.
On a side note this line of thinking could easily be used to discredit the sampling of previously recorded matierial...
All the artists that want to be an artist buy exclusive beats. All this bull**** that people want to sell the same beat over and over is stupid. lol I mean if my beat blows up I want that artist that bought it to be like yea this **** right here is mine not have 20 other dudes running around with it. Non exclusive beats are offered by (kids) that want to be a producer that use illegal software and virus infested PC's that have no clue about this. For the real producers we create exclusive original material that's unique and alot of time went into it making it sound professional not a loop with drums samples that took 5 minutes of our time.
Im just going to keep making fire tracks. And hustle. So when I make money off non Exlsuive tracks and you dont well dont hate me because i play the game. We all love music, but must hustle to make it. Non exclusive is part of the buisness.
A song is what defines an artists identity. No "real" artist will use the same backing music for a song on his album which has already been on someone elses album.
Once the music is licensed by more than one artist, "exclusivity" is no longer an option (for obvious reasons)
The Non-Exclusive is just to showcase.
"No "real" artist will use the same backing music for a song on his album which has already been on someone elses album."
Yeah and how many of real artists buyed ur beats?
People have a "dream" to become rappers or whatever and they need it for a mixtape. Paying alot of $$$ for exclusive isnt option for them so they buy NE for mixtape and if they get sign or whatever theyll not have much problems to get better and exclusive beats later...
U wanna buy NE beats for 3 cents? Go ahead but if u wanna buy mine ull pay 19.99
also i hate selling an exclusive beat to a ****ty myspace rapper who uses a 5 dollar mic they bought at k mart. int he short run the cash is nice but then somebodey tight or a big name may want that beat down the line but u already sold it exclusive to this guy n i like to keep my word so i dont resell that ebat but its torutre. you can sell a 200 dolalr exclusive to some no name but what if 3 years later somwhere down the road snoop or the game stumbles ontot hat beat but cant use it now, was it worth the 200 dolalrs. thats why non exclusive is good lol.
It doesn't matter who uses the same beat as me
