New Producer Needing Help (Beats)

I have the complete Fruity Loops Studio 9 Software installed on my pc. I've made a few cheesy beats and basic beats, but nothing that I could see myself freestyling to just something fun I've made. Can anyone give me any legitimate tips and hints on how to make hotter beats. Videos and replies welcome!
