New Jersey Rap Scene ?!?!?!

Ok i am 17 so i might not have been around or heard of some of these events or places hahaha I am a rapper/producer and as far as hip hop goes i dont really see anything happening in new jersey. Ive never heard of any hip hop shops or any places or cities that are really legendary. I know its probobly like im chasing something from out of a movie haha but i feel like im overlooking something. in brick city ? AC ? JC ? Camden ? Edison ? or other cities are there any places or events that go on that i should know about ? im not talking about Philly or NYC just NJ. Off the top of the head the only jersey rapper i can think of with a name is Kilogram but this is off the top of the head . . . .but if you think of philly rappers you could name 15 or 20 and in NY you could name 1000i think Jersey needs to get things started or if i havent heard make the scene bigger and more well known let me know if theres anything i should know about


P.S im also from osuth jersey burlington county to be exact so if theres things going on up north i dont really hear about it

Yeah NJ (especially south NJ) dosent really have any venues for artist to preform at. There are some bars i guess you could organize but nothing really. You tryna get a buzz, usually artist i work with take it to philly or NY to preform and get that buzz growing. And of course a lot of online activity! Keep grinding though because jersey is close to alot!!!

Thanks bro I know a lot of people usually head to philly or NY but I know there is a lot of potential here I just think that someone with high status in the game would news to do something to make nj a musical power but if I were to do it nothing would happen lol

Yeah someone needs to invest in NJ....we don't really even have a state team with there own stadium! lol
 
start it up man. if theres no hip hop scene then make one. oh and try incorporating some fist bumping music into the hip hop. ease them in. lol joking but if you could pull that off you'd be a god among men.

I have no buzz at all really besides ofwgkta putting me on there Facebook page a lot lol for those who follow them on Facebook they declared every Monday David parker day lmao but that isn't enough.
 
theres no one new comin out of nj but a lotta older heads are from jersey. naughty by nature, queen latifah, lauren hill, just blaze. its tough because everything is scattered around.

i dont get out there at all really thats probobly why and i guess diggy is a nj rapper but he had everything given to him so i dont count him at all really . . .i know all of the old head like PRT and naughty but i dont see anything thats really making a mark besides kilogram . . .who was my substitute teacher once lmfao

Anyone ever seen a black person on the jersey shore? Ive seen almost every episode and have never seen a colored person???? Weird!
 
That because all the black folks are at wildwood beach...you have to pay to get onto seasides beach! lmao!
 
redman is from newark, i dont know if anybody mentioned that

anyway...if your good enough, you could do shows at all the colleges in the newark area to build a buzz
