New Instrumental

Wow I like this a lot! I'm not a big fan of the slow paced hip hop tracks, but this was surprisingly enjoyable for me. The synths that kicked in around 1:10 mark were nice! What kind of feel were you trying to go for with this track?

Hey, thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it. Just trying to get a mellow yet still forward driving sound I guess I would explain it as, feeling wise I would say signifying hope.
 
Even though I'm usually not into this kind of Hip Hop ( I'm more into boom bap ), I do think that you did a great job. Its sounds chill and mellow. I'm glad that there still hip hop producers out here!
 
Good track.It was moving no b.s. I am not a mixing head but here is what I can tell you. You have a lot of space if you tried to take a creative risk and found some unorthodox found sound like many low end theory artists and a litttle fuzz and dirt and hum(don't over do it like me). Then the beat would hit a different audience. Look at all the attention xxyyxx is garnering, and some of his songs I would have thrown out, but a different audience eats that stuff up. If this is in your taste and only if its in your taste. You could Add some odd vocals/samples and glitch them out. The synth at 1:11 is is too idm for me it works by all means though. In short you could just copy the song and go two different directions. Keep one clean version like yours and then dirty the other one up with a little beauty to it then you will have two different beats. Check out Holy Other,Clams Casino, Salem(withchouse) and anything by artists on the freinds of friends label. If this is not in your taste than disregard what I said! just trying to help, Not push my taste on you. Nice beat!
 
Yo im not lying when I say I love this beat. This shit is sick. and the hats really keep it moving. This sounds like something partynextdoor could kill. I dont have my subs with me so I cant really tell that well but ur 808s might be a little too loud. Just check the mix in a car to make sure. Other than that great track man

Ah I see, basically what I tried to do with my track XD. It sounds good man and I definitely got that vibe from it.

Thanks for taking the time to write this man, I appreciate it. I hear what you're saying, and I am definitely open to trying something like that. I'm trying to become well rounded, so that would be good practice. I'll have to check those artists out, I'm familiar with Clams but I haven't heard the others. Thanks a lot man, really appreciate that, you had me cheesing over here haha. I really like Party, that hadn't crossed my mind but that would be dope. I'll check that, you could be right... I was having a hard time getting them under control, and still being present enough...
 
This is insane! I'm not kidding when I say I love this! The hi hat patterns are amazing, the synths are catchy as hell and the subby background texture gives it a nice, ominous vibe. Though IMHO what this track lacks is great vocal samples. It could really do with a few nice pitch-shifted voices.
 
Great job on the track. The synths at 1:11 weren't for me, I thought they sounded a bit too generic, but they fit with the track. I liked the bridge at 3:11. Overall the beat had a nice feel and I can definitely imagine vocals fitting very well with it!
 
Dude this beat is fresh! I'm listening on my headphones and I think the mix sounds well done. The only thing I noticed was that the bass seems to be taking up a whole lot of headroom. Seems like whenever it hits, everything else takes a very slight, but noticeable dip in dB. But then again, it might just be my headphones.

I actually liked that synth at 1:11. (Since I do house music). I was actually hoping you would expand on it, but then I remembered it's a hip hop instrumental haha. This would be a sick track to put vocals over though, well done man.

Thanks man I appreciate it. You know thinking back I might have sidechained the kick to try to get it to pump those out more, but maybe I went a little overboard... I hear you about expanding the synth haha, Im trying to experiment with some house in the near future. The track in your signature sounds great btw!
