needlez again...help needed..PLEEZ!!!

ok fellaz....I'll make this quick......

Seemz my Stanton Trackmaster II SK's wanna tear the fukk outta my records lately....

any suggestions for needlez that WONT scratch, wear down (as quickly), or just overall abuze my vinyl?????

Money is not an issue......

Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated......:cool:

take it from an experienced stanton owner. buy ortofons or sures for that matter. i have a set of al500s, 680els and groovemasters in a box - i like to call them backups, but in reality they would make a great item to hang from my rearview mirror. i got a set of ortofon concorde dj s carts. i was amazed at the tracking ability of the ortofons at a way lower downforce than the stantons. no more grinding my vinyl into dust. get the ortofons, great prices on ebay for brand new carts. all i can say is just do it, you will never look back. :D - jeff h

Each item is listed with the total number of styli that are included. For example, the Concorde Nightclub S w/2 styli comes with 2 styli total: one stylus mounted on the cartridge, plus a spare stylus. Each Concorde set includes a hard carrying case with red velvet covering, plus a cleaning brush.

i haven't personally bought from David, but i have traded emails with him, and my next set of ortofons will be from him. his prices are really hard to beat and it's pretty obvious that he's not out to rip anyone off. - jeff h

i've not used audiolines, but looking at their ortofon ads, i would call and make sure of what you get. it almost seems that you might only get the cartridge and no stylus. you can add 2 styli for the $75 + $45. david on ebay sells 2 styli + djs cart for $95. i bought mine from another guy on ebay, he's in hong kong. i got 2 carts & 4 styli for $136 + $20 shipping. if you can wait a few weeks, i'm sure this guy will put up another set. he's got them up about every other week. i was worried about getting stuff from hong kong, but they are the real things for certain. i'm not trying to dis audiolines, i'm just a bargain hunter :p - jeff h
 
Worth a look are the Ortofon Scratch carts. Practically exactly the same as the DJ/S but with the needle polished on both sides...

I have them and they are very pink... ;)
