Need some tips/advice on mixing Progressive House?

Sup,

I've been DJing for several years, but it's been in the Dubstep and the UK 4x4 scene. Recently I got into Progressive House, I love the build up in tracks, and the synth leads and the feeling behind the music.

I've found mixing progressive house is nothing like Dubstep, or 4x4. I've found you have to be very precise. Mixes have to be spot on because I noticed once they slip out of time even slightly any attempt to repair it whilst it's in the mix sounds awful.

I'm just really struggling with getting the mixes to sound nice together. I'm used to chopping in and out, and doing lots of fader tricks, but that don't work in Progessive House. It seems as if mixes have to be blended in gently.

I'm just looking for any tips really from other house DJ's. All will be welcomed and appreciated.

Cheers
