I need someone to explain a bit about the specifications of the speakers I am thinking of using for mixing/mastering.
They are a pair of classic (quite old) Phillips PR 80 speakers that my family has held onto for a while & I can't find the slightest bit of info about them on the net. Mainly I'm wondering if they are going to give me a nice flat response and good sound quality.
This is the only info I can find on the speakers themselves as any manual or info booklet would be long gone by now:
Phillips PR 80
Impedance - 8 Ohms
Max Power - 120 Watts
Sensitivity - 87 Decibels.
If they turn out to be sweet I'll find a nice amplifier to run them through with the matching Watts & whatever else.
