I spin and produce mostly jungle/D'nB, Deep House/Speed Garage, and Futuristic Chill
Out Tunes. Anyone got any suggestions for a CD DJIng setup? My style is cut outs,
reverses, not much scratching (although I heard of this kid in the who is sick
w/scratching D n'B and Breakbeat), and bleanding?? I want to spin cd because it's
easier to transport. Holla back.

I'm personally waiting for the Technics CD decks to come out. The Pioneer MK2s are nice... but I think the Technics may fit my style a little better. It's nothing like going to your local shop to check out gear. Also, weather the CD deck plays MP3s may be an important factor.... I know it is to me. I bought the $150 Stanton CD deck just to get by with a CD player with pitch control at parties, and it skips like a school girl during hard basslines. Either it has a hard time playing CD-Rs or I'm real good at tuning our system. Either way, you pay for what you get. Try before you buy. 30-day money back guarantees are nice also.

CDJ 800s

The performance for that price (especially after all the recent drops AND including the current rebate) is ridiculous.

I tried the denon, and loved it. but its the first and will be improved on a lot, the bigger platter size of the techs and then real size of the cdx is going to improve the feel. I wouldnt buy numark because of how bad the axis8, matrix mixers, and tt200 decks are, basically only thing I like by numark is cdn 34. good old dual rack.

I generally spin w/ vinyl, but I've been wanting to broaden my style a bit, so I picked up a Denon DN-D9000... Its a dual unit, which makes scratching a little difficult, but it is possible, and the features are amazing and the learning curve isn't to bad... A couple of weeks and you'd be fine.... Just my 2 cents...

i've heard the axis 9 is decent for what it is but can't speak from personal experience... i won't buy a cd deck that doesn't have a full size platter which is why i'm waitin for the cdx which i've heard is dope as **** from people who have seen it in use (but also has some work to be done i've heard too)

the ttx1 is the **** and if they are basing it like that they won't go wrong...

after cdx id look at the techs possibly.. im still not sure id choose techs over denons cuz they might have a bigger platter but the shiny ass silver platter is a bit weird.. i'd rather have the feel of vinyl..

for what you want them for tho i'd say cdx800s will be your best bet for quality and price..
