Nas - Hero Sample?????

does anyone have or know the name of the arpeggio that plays throughout the track? mysto, i know you know!!
 
Is that a sample?? I think Polo just arpeggiated the instrument.
 
I was trying to find out the same thing a few days ago. no luck though.
 
Arpeggio does on ocillating efftect on the keyboard..It can be controlled by beat pattern or it can be fine tuned..Its an effect on notes or sounds. I have seen it used in many different ways.
 
Okay, polow used "Butterfly Stance", on Native Instruments Massive played in c4 key. That simple.

thanks for the info, i knew it would be easy.. he's known for using presets and stock samples a lot and i knew it wouldn't be as hard as arpeggiating a synth manually.

It blew my mind 'cause on the same day I was listening to the presets on logic my girl was tellin me about the song and she recognized the loops..

true...but how many ppl use preset LOOPS on a program that comes with all apple computers to build an entire song, and the song becomes a chart topper?? Lmao
 
Yo Most Hip-Hop Hits come from Preset loops--I use some of the REX_Loops in Reasons when I need a different vibe.. But after I bang out the track, U hardly recognize the orginal sounds. (K.I.S.S.) 1000

cool....lol im a try it out on massive....but yeh i dunno why people are surprised that some producers use presets.....not everyone is a sound designer....production has many different faces in todays game....i guess its a little less impressive when ppl put a bunch of ready pieces together....but at the same time i dont think theres anything wrong with using presets.....if theres a preset thats ready for the sound you want, why waste the time mking your own patch?
 
Last time i checked the sample was Ronnie Laws "Friends & Strangers"!!!

It is just a vst called massive and the preset is called butterfly stance.

I say F*** presets, learn from them but then definitely make your own! You won't believe how accomplished and unique you feel after you complete a full beat with nothing with your own sounds. Cause it'll sound perfectly how you want it to sound.

Anyways, Polow does use presets and I say there isn't anything wrong with it cause you can't say his arrangements and his hooks are presets at all. Overall his sound is unique and just for that it makes him a great producer IMHO.
