hey everybody,
i wanted to ask if someone had this combination in the past and can share some knowledge.
I want to use my MPC 2000XL as the MASTER device and Reason on my Laptop ONLY as a Soundbank. My question now is, how does it work. I think i have to do the following steps:
MPC MIDI OUT -> LAPTOP MIDI IN (that reason gets the notes)
MIDI KEYBOARD -> MPC MIDI IN (that the MPC gets the notes)
MPC Audio Output -> Mixer
Laptop Audio Output -> Mixer
Does anybody now if this can work. Because then i buy a mixer and a midi keyboard (only have USB right now).
Maybe i made a mistake and someone can prevent me from wasting money
And, its not possible to use the USB keyboard right? Because Reason has to get the notes from the MPC and otherwise the MPC wouldnt receive the notes to "write"them into the sequenzer.
