Hey I just got a numark 1650 and a dm 2050 mixer and I just cant figure out the correct way to set this up. Im going through a receiver to just a sub and some house speakers. I want to be able to sample directly into the MPC and also just play records. Can anybody help me with this setup?

I'm assuming that mixer only has one output, so short of gettin' a new mixer try some splitter cables out from the mixer...one going to the receiver and one going to the mpc...

The mixer has L and R master outputs and L and R record outputs.

well then one out to the receiver and one out to the mpc...

record outs to the sampler, master outs to the stereo

that way the gain will always be the same when you sample, but you can adjust the volume when you're just listening

I have the record outs on the mixer to the record ins on the mpc and the master outs on the mixer to the aux on the receiver(is this one even right?). No luck. I cant even get the turntable to play through the receiver though.

Ok cool I got it. Thanks for the help guys. I had to put the master outs to the tape in

You probably had to turn the reciever to line in or aux or something. It's probably a switch on it somewhere.

i believe i had it hooked up right the first time but the master volume was too low and i didnt even hear it. haha
