MPC 1000 Question

For a long time I was using a roland r8/eps 16+ combo. I finally bought a mpc 1000. Ive did my research and decided to go with the OS1 jjos software. My question is my mpc came with no manual. Should I cop both manuals even tho I wont be using the orginal os? Basic functions still similar?

Cop the 1000 manual and just see what changed with the jjos update im sure they should tell you on the website/manual what's different then normal os.
