Motif XS6 Mpc 1000 Sync and computer setup

i got the motif XS6 And the mpc 1000 and i want to slave the motif, i know you do so by connecting a midi out of the mpc to the midi in on the motif. What about the audio cables out on the motif and mpc? do I buy a mixer and have both sound outputs from the hardware devices connected to my computer that way or is there a way to have it connected to my computer just through my interface? Also do i need a midi out of my mpc to the interface to track the midi notes from my mpc?
