Peak Controller? nah... Thats for like 2 differents bass at once or dupstep kick & bass grooves
It Lets you automate the Volume of a different sound in anyway from any track you use on the mixer.

ADSR Envelopes, plz learn em.

Parametric EQ 2 has signs above the spectrum to guide you.

808:
-Use EQ: Use bands around Bass and Low Mid
-Compressor:(Optional)
-Fruity Fast Dist: This create the Mids in bass(More synth sounding/Hard hitting)
If you know what your doing with Fast Dist you can skip the Compressor

Bass synth(Intro):

Leave most of the mids alone
Cut most of the low end(Leaving a lil bass in it wont hurt.)
Too Much will tho(Clash with 808 if so)

If you have your bass drum on it's own separate track you can do this; Insert a compressor on your synth bass track. Set the ratio of the compressor to the lowest possible setting (1:1, 2:1), set a fast 'attack' time and set the 'release' time to the longest setting possible (auto usually works nicely in most cases). Most importantly, there should be a 'sidechain' drop bar at the top right (usually) of the compressor... Select the channel that your kick is on in the sidechain menu so the compressor will duck the bass when the kick drum is hit. the long release time allows the bass to float back up to it's normal level without horrible 'pumping' or 'sucking' sounds. BUT, sometimes if the kick and bass are both really sub-y and have a lot of quick changes in the hits and bassline notes, it can come out sounding muddy regardless and like another poster said, you'll have to trim down the release on your 808 kick envelope.

The technique your trying to achieve is relatively easy.

Use your standard mixing techniques to get them to sit where you want(you never specified weather your familiar with standard mixing practice, so Im assuming you do…if not let me know, theres plenty of places you can get that knowledge from)

Im not sure which D.A.W. you use, so giving you step by step may lead you astray, your best bet is either name your daw so you can get the step by step or use youtube or something similar and type Ducking with Sidechain on (Insert DAW name here) or something similar…let me know if you need more help!

What I do is: If the 808 has a thump at the beginning of it...turn the attack down and let your kick drum lead the thump....compress the 808.

word... I agree... Basically cut the low frequency of the bass synth.. raise the mids of it so you still hear it...

Last post is spot on. A lot of the low end you hair is perceivable through harmonics that are actually higher. So even if you hi pass a bass synth to where you think it's cutting too much, it's probably not. Especially if you have an 808 to fill in the gap. Your ears are really good at blending everything together and developing a cohesive picture of the sound. So let me work!

You should use the sidechain. And also put the HP Filter (100hz) on the Bass Synth.

I don't like mixing 808's with a sub bass or any other bass..If I'm going to have an 808 I will use a strong punchy kick under it and if I'm using a sub bass same thing I'll use a punchy kick under it, sounds great easy to mix and gives it a thump!

I think he used multiband sidechaining for this track. Keeps the low end of the bass out of the way for when the kick hits, but keeps the mid-hi's of the bass intact.

I'd use two things :
-First EQ the kick with a boost at 80 hZ, make a subtle cut below these frequencies, and decrease the mids like 2 dB
, then make a subtle cut at 80 hZ for the bass and a slight boost at around 150 hZ
-Finally Sidechain the bass to the kick
