the mp2 is pretty neat, but its definitely not the best out there for mixing. The knobs themself are very small, and take some time to get used to. Its very simple and well-laid out though. If you're a party/wedding dj looking to save some rack space, its the highest quality "little" mixer out there, but I kinda wish i had either bigger knobs or sliders right now.

Once I get the pics, ill post some shots of my dj coffin - then you'll understand why i got the mp2.

Damn it! OK, so what's the general consensus about the PCV-275 vs. the Ecler SMAC PRO30? For the users out there - how to the Ecler faders feel? What about the sound on the Vestax? Can you compare it to some other mixer?

It's all about the money at the end of the day huh? Although I've not completely decided on one yet, I wouldn't mind saving some money... Although a Rane is always nice. Maybe I'll get an Ecler or a Vestax now and when I get around to buying cd decks I'll go for an mp24z or something. Maybe...

Hey Gene...

Unfortunately, I don't have alot of experience with mixers but I have an Ecler Smac Pro 40, and all I can say is that I am reallly happy with it! The sound quality is amazing! Very Clean! And the whole thing feels very solid.. x-fader is very smooth (and quite light) and the channel faders do offer more resistance...

Sorry I can't compare it to anything else (besides a DX500) but there's no point really

I have the Vestax, but I sort of regret not getting the Ecler instead, because the numerous times I've fiddled around with it I've just been marvelling about the feel of the faders. The sound quality is noticeably better than that of the Vestax, and the EQ sounds a lot clearer, smoother and most of all more musical.

I'd recommend the Ecler any day!
