Melody/Synth help

[Hoarse]

I'm pretty good at making drums and applying effects to them to make them sound unique. But when it comes to Melodies and using synths i'm stuck. I'll make a nice synth but i cant figure out how i should add it to the drums or i just don't how to use it at all. I use Reason 5 and FL studio 11. I'm 16 and have been producing for a couple of months, any advice?

kinda have the same issue, made so many damn beats ive pretty much did all drum patterns lol but dude whatever you do, do not overthink it.
I wish ableton,fl studio and cubase along with reason allowed stretching not only the sample itself but the actual pattern time markers.
