Reminds me of old Suburban Bass stuff.

Yeah. Me too. Kinda retro act. but that's cool..
I wouldn't say this is a new genre. More like an old one and it's allways great with a revival once in a while. :)

Re: Check out the UPDATED, FINISHED Version

aaaargh, fuk what a great track!
Might sound a little overenthousiastic but when I here the track I feel like dancing like hell!
Right, Liam Howlett would love this!
I'd buy it...

Thanks A lot!!!!

Thanks to all who have taken the time fo listen to this track and to those who have given their input.

Although I've dabbled in producing my own stuff for a while, this is the first tune that I've finished. I know that I will have to continue developing my skillz, but all your great comments have let me know that what I'm creating doesn't totally suck.

sure doesn't! What equipment do you use?

I produce all on PC. I use Fruityloops (which I've owned for about 2 years), ACID (I don't use it too often - done some remixing with it), and Soundforge (for recording samples and mastering). On the track in question, I did use ACID to do some further layering over the main wav exported from Fruityloops. In addition, I've got a handful of VSTi synths.

This is run on an 800mhz Athlon w/192mb ram and an SBlive.

As far as hardware I got a Behringer 1604A mixer (good mixer for the low price), Quickshot Midi composer controller keyboard, and Fostex PSR-3.1 3 piece monitoring system.
