m audio fast track pro vs. balance

I have a quick question. I'm currently debating on switching to the balance interface. However is it really worth the switch from fast track pro. I'm asking because I feel my vocals need a bigger umph and more clarity. Also I have a audio technical AT2035 cardioid condenser mic, so would it be worth investing in a better condenser mic as well hopefully you guys can give me some good advice. Btw I use reason for recording.
 
Before I begin with my thoughts/input, just know that I'm not too experienced with audio interfaces and recording.

Now, with that being said, wouldn't it be a better and even wiser choice to invest in a nice analog preamp to give you that "umph" you are trying to obtain rather than to keep switching your interfaces and not being happy with the sound?
 
yes I have thought of analog...but how does it work with a digital interface???...remember im using digital software as well
