Hey everyone. I have just come across a bit more money and i am able to afford these monitors. i was wandering if anyone have anything good or bad to say about them. i would be greatful for advice.

Whats up. Umm I familiar with the whole M-audio BX series. Me I personally use the BX5's. they are a step down from the 8's but these monitors bang. You making a good choice with these. They affordable monitors but they SLAM!!!!!! With mines I mix and monitor with them, cause you can set them to different levels depending on your mixing enviorment.
My best advice to you is to also get some good cables. I got mines ran to my mixer using the XLR connection. MONSTER CABLES is a good brand. Thats what im using They will run about $20 a piece for some cables around 5-10 feet. Good luck family and hit me back

A cable is a cable, as long as it meets specs, it would work fine.. Monster is a scheme to sell cables for 80% higher than their worth at stores like best buy to unwary consumers.

The BX8's sound pretty good ( especially if you ever get your hands on the maudio sub)

As far as the cables, they don't really make a bit of difference unles your running them over long distances. You would only need to go with monster cables if your running wires oover 15-20 feet.

Yeh these are the next monitors I'm goin to purchase. They have the low end covered too, so you don't even need the Optional Sub you can get with it.

Tell us how you like your new speakers when you get them setup!

I will have these by the middle of next week hopefully, so i'll be able to pass judgement on them.

M-Audio are also releasing a subwoofer monitor that is meant to compliment the BX5 or BX8's they too sound pretty hot they go by the name 'Studiophile SBX'

hey, thanks everyone for your advice. im gonna order the bx8's this week sometime. thanks again for your help

I also ordered pair of these, looked at quite a few different monitors and for the money n quality these looked best.

should be getting them mid week too.

I know someone that has the sub too and it with the 5's the sound is serious...real serious.

good luck with your BX8! I have a pair of them, too, and like them quite a lot.

Whoever has the matching SBX subwoofer that goes with the BX5's and BX8's, this question is for you...

Is it [the sub] worth the $400? Also, does it accurately reproduce the sound that a good car sub would produce?

I can also confirm that the M-Audios are good at a fair price. I use the BX-5 and am more than happy.

I got the BX 5's, plugged in my $100 Foxtex sub and was good to go!

you can use any decent sub with these becuse it will only hold the lowest frequencies.

Its very easy to post bad things about these...........your post doesnt elp anyone. Post facts.

Ya I've heard both the KRK-5s and the BX5's and to tell you the truth I saved a $100 and I don't give a crap. If I'm going to get really nice monitors that I can brag about it's not going to be the KRK's (or the BX5s obviously).

Oh great another smart post. Why post if you dont have anything constructive to share???

geez jackin chill, i think he was sayin that the bx8s are more worth it.

and btw i resent the way u say i was not helping, i was. i gave the advice not to get the bx's cause every1 i know that has heard them say they r crap, how is that unhelpful??

IMO save up and get the KRK's

I have the Bx-8s and just to let you know they are a little loud on the highs, your mixes will be a little off at first with the bx-8s projecting the highs louder
