logic 5.5

Hi, hopfully somebody can help.
I am using logic 5 at the mo with windows XP and ive picked up the basics but would like to know why it is that when i load a sample/loop in to logic via the EXS24 it ends up being a lot quieter and less punchy than before.
Can anybody help with some advice on this, would be much appreciated.

its an old version of logic, i assume anything after logic 5 is only compatable with mac.

I'd imagine the default volume setting for samples in the EXS might just be lower.

That's a bit of a shortcut and not entirely true...

C-Lab (which became Emagic later on) created Notator for the Atari ST, which became Notator Logic...for ST & Macs. The PC version was introduced after the "Notator" prefix dropped out and went along the Mac version until 5.5, when Apple bought it. So it was never "PC only".
