Lex Luger/ Shawty Redd Type Sounds

Does anyone have a recommendation for some good shawty redd/ lex luger type sounds i already have purity but the brass in purity isnt all that great,
 
gucci mane drum kit is da answer. deres alot of soundfonts he uses like da brass esemble. i think gettin da drumma boy drum kit will help too. both kits will show u dat he uses da same sounds over and over again.. Ohhhh and out of all da tracks ive heard of lex luger, he never used a synth. its always a brass.
 
is it the gucci mane kit where everything is numbered Sound (1) Sound (2) ect.
 
I wouldn't use any of those fake producer kits. Start with some really crisp 808 samples and tweak them to fit the song.

Buying a kit that's already over processed and EQ'd to hell may sound ok on it's own but will sound rather noobish once you try to fit it in with your mix, imo..

For "lex luger sounds" dont use 808s..

He uses a bass wave layered with a kick. basically like making your own 808's. it just sounds better and you can adjust how long the bass hits for, if it sustains the sine or it just fades out. Use a basic kick and compress that one one channel, then sidechain a bass wave to it from the "FM Sub" setting of the "Fruity DX-10" and run the dx-10 through maximus. sounds ****in dope

ok i think i understood all of that except "sidechaining the bass wave to the kick" and what is maximus ?
 
maximus is a mastering device in fl studio kind of like a compressor but I guess in the case he is referring to using it in the mixing process but thats a whole different subject in its self. I was kind of confused about sidechaining the bass wave to the kick also so can you please explain why and how this process is done.

the real lex had a free kit up b4 he got big but now you have to pay for it
 
I have the real lex luger kit its really amazing I just got it about 3 weeks ago happened to find it on youtube from this guy cant remember his name but he has lots of kits that are really worth taking a look at.
 
they are all juz basic 808 kits...i got a few friends that have Ultimate 808 kit drummaboy kit lil jayes custom kit and all of them shitz sound exactly the same as my basic 808 kit...if you got one you got em all

Please dont misguide him, Lex Luger uses 808s for sure he might also do what your saying but i know for a fact he uses 808s
 
Is it good guys or not because alot of this guys beats sound alike. listen to acehood mixtape the statement. the sound is the same.
