I'm using Kontakt as a live instrument on stage.
Is there a way of getting kontakt to load an instrument that is contained in a folder to load automatically (when double clicked,) into a specific slot in an already opened kontakt player instead of trying to open up a new kontakt player?
For example.
My kontakt player has a drum loop player and bass instrument set up in slots 1 & 2. I would like slot 3 to contain whatever kontakt instrument I select from within a folder (that already has 200 kontakt instruments) or even a powerpoint document.
I know this is possible via drag and drop or the instrument navigator but I need to do this incredibly quickly and drag and drop can go wrong (accidently dropping into the wrong slot) and the instrument navigator takes too long. I'm trying to avoid looking down at my laptop for more than 2 seconds.
