theres no doubt that it was a sample but from which song and which program do u think he used?. < tryn get the same sound. Im thinkn he used fl slicer. and does he have to clear the song that he sampled from? or is cool since he sample such small portionS?

Hey bro, the sample is William Bell- Strung Out off his Duets album. He uses an ASR-10 for arranging the chops but I'm not sure what he chops them in. The law of sampling is that you must clear anything and everything no matter how small.

Yeah that songs a banga.

Clearing the sample

Dowg, I'ma nu to sampling, what does exactly mean "clearing the sample"??? When I clean the sample, it ain't agains the lawz to use it?? It would be great, 'cuz I like to Chopping and Pitching old songz, but I'm worry 'bout lawz, 'cuz I ain't got so much money to buy licence of used soundz... If you don't mind, could you explain to me "how to clear a sample" for example? Thanx man...

Clearing a sample means to get the rights to use portions of the sample in a beat or song. Don't worry about clearing if ur not putting out a commercial release.

THE FL SLICER, never Kanye would do such a dirty thang, sorry...

Nope...but make sure you use WINDEX to get it nice and clean!!

Kanye probably uses the ASR-10 for chopping, and then sequences it on an MPC2000 (not sure if it's a XL).

Kanye didn't even make the beat he just took credit 4 it.

Go to youtube and type in Kanye's confessions and keep gowing down until it says Kanye's confessions.

^^ i tried wat u said but nothing comes up on youtube neway, if u listen to the mp3 below u can hear kanye say who really made the beat. (lmao @ kanye tryna sing the la la part haha)

Apparently Kanye uses mainly a 2000xl. I've never heard of him using FL, but I do seem to remember watching a video where he was using an ASR-10.

TBH it doesn't really matter what he was using anyway IMO, you can achieve the same results (no noticeable difference) with any of the above, if you have the technical know-how and talent of course.

Yeah I don't think that's Kanye's voice, it sounds like an impersonator to me. I could be wrong though, maybe he was being sarcastic and trying to be funny or something. Either way you're taking it too seriously I think.

How can you make a beat if you cant speak english? Not even tryin to be a dick but damn, it took me forever just to get through a single post.

First of and foremost, "KANYE" did not make that beat "Down and Out'.......he had one of ghost producers flip that joint for him!!!

And yeahh.....one of Kanye's favorite weapons is the ASR 10 ( the **** is incredible)
