it sounds harsh.. but it takes events like this to put a person in their place.. helps them set a stone path for themselves.. when a person can get past THESE types of trials and tribulations.. thats what seperates the mice from the men..

trust me, it sets their game to a whole other level.. they're mindset is just gonna switch.. its not gonna so much of "look at me i'm kanye, i got fancy clothes".. its gonna be "im kanye, ima my momma made me who i am, i make music for her, my family, myself, and my fans"..

u look at the Fat Joe when Big Pun died.. the Diggin in the Crates crew when Big L died, Nas when his mother passed and other celebrities who have had family friends and mothers and fathers pass away.. it changes their whole mindset..

i hate to get on a personal level, but thats wat happended when the person close to me passed.. my whole mindset changed, and i turned into a better person because of it.. its hard to TRUELY appreciate people when their living.. u dont realize their influence untill there gone

wait a minute that mediatakeout.com crap says she never left the operating room..wtf?? They are liars on that website...disregard that...she was at home..."exclusive interview" my ass...

I'm wondering if they took some of your report to fake that story. It didn't seem to add up. I figured your dad is a paramedic, wouldn't be in the operating room.

Thats the same thing I was thinking but I didnt wanna make it sound like I'm trying to make this about me...I seen someone posted a link to this thread on Kanyetalk.com so it is possible that mediatakeout.com seen this thread too...

I know how he feels. Lost my mom Dec. of last year. RIP

Thats sad, I kno he was real close to his mom. My prayers go out to him and his family!

RIP Ms. West and my prayers go out to Kanye and his family.

same thing happended to Nas..

i dont mean to sound like a dick.. but this is probably the best thing that could happen to kanye.. when tragedy strikes a person.. their whole mindset changes.. i wouldnt be suprised if kanye becomes a whole other person due to this horrible incident.. kanye will be producing the best music of his life, and maybe wont be doing all those public acts like he's used to..

either way... peace, love and prayers go out to that family

I see where you're coming from but at the same time it completely depends on the person and how they deal with tragedy. Yes maybe it can be a "Wakeup Call" for Kanye but it can also be something that would make him put a stop to making music for good. You never know and yes your mindset does change when something this tragic happens in your life but it may not always be in the right way.

oh yeaa, i shouldve added that.. it really is subjective.. hopefully he changes for the better..

I'm about to cry... could you imagine losing our parents? I'm getting goose-bumps like shyt.

Damn....

Prayers to the West family. I hope it isn't true, but I think it is. Whatever killed her?

What surgery was she under?

And for the record, whoever's posting that losing his mother will somehow enrich Kanye's future and career are some the most heartless, cruel, and dumbest motherf*ckers alive. The man just lost his mother for crying out loud. Even though we're all anonymous people posting on the internet, have some respect. I know Kanye would gladly hang up his mic and his Asr-10 just to hold his mother in his arms again. The last thing on this man's mind is his career, and I can guarantee you that!

are u retarded?? or are u just speaking out of passion..

u think he would really end up his career to hold his mother again???, u really think that??.. all that him and his mother went thru to reach the level he has in music.. u really think that he would give up everything that he and his mother have been working on years to perfect.. we all kno that his mother means the world to him.. but ur taking sh*t out of proportion..

when someone dies.. do u wanna go and mourn everytime u think of them.. never moving on with their lives.. of course the first year or 2 is gonna be tough for Kanye.. but he will gain a new view of life, and thats a fact whether its positive or negative is subjective..

im not heartless, i've lost loved ones who were very close to me, i've experienced sorrow, but at the end of the day, u cant sit and mourn everyday.. u've gotta make moves and keep those loved ones in mind..

im not cruel, i see exactly where he's coming from, hopefully he can deal with death the same way i did, it takes a lot of courage and strength to deal with death in a positive way.. hopefully kanye can do it, and if he can, it will come out in his muisc.

and im def. not dumb.. if u think about it.. it makes a lot of sense

Its pretty damn sad that this dudes MOTHER just died and you people are talking about his MUSIC!!!

Trust me, the LAST THING dude is thinking about is music. When my dad died, i didnt do ANYTHING music related for like a month. I don't even think I so much as LISTENED to any music.

My heart goes out to him. He was an only child, and admittedly spoiled as hell, so I can only imagine wht he's going thru. No father, no siblings, no children. His entire family died this weekend.

I feel for him.

after a loved one dies...idk about u but i get so motivated to do whatever i wanna do or am doing...cuz tomarrow is not promised. kanye could come outta this with so much passion and motivation to continue what him and his mom worked to hard to accomplish. i am not at all saying that this is a good thing for kanye, cuz its not, its horrible..but just think about it

just so people don't go thinkin im some heartless monster, cause i kno people probably won't read that..especially the bold

also when biggie died jay-z had a mediocre album after that....he even admitted he was in a sad stage and didnt really care about music...but he decided to honor his best friend and make the best music he's ever made.
