The same way you sell yourself to a company or person ,for money .. and for the guy that said we cannot sell our soul because God owns it , well then how are we able to sell our body then ? God gave us that also . Money is the means by which our morals can possibly get compromised, this is in context what it means to sell your soul.Ultimately it is to sell your morals, and how many people you've heard say they will kill for money? (we know that people arent born with this mindset to murder , they are taught) now the question is , is it justifiable to murder someone over a peice of paper ? then the next question is why do you want to murder someone anyways unless of course Love is not present in your heart but hate. and if hate is in your heart, is God of hate ? if not how can you attribute your acts to Love or God for that matter ? Now my next question is why do all these rappers use the term "selling their soul to the devil " unless they must be aware what it means somewhat , or judging by feelings what it may feel like to sell your soul , they are relating an experience with an evil experience, which leads me to beleieve they are knowledgable of evil in some aspect , but how can they judge an evil experience rightly if they have never experienced one ? and if they have then they must be contrasting it with an un-evil experience in order to even come to such conclusion ..its like the term 'haters" you have to have first met Lovers in order to judge what a true hater is , or else what are you contrasting your judgment by. We all know that who you serve is your master, and who your master is , is who purchased you , whether it is the u.s army, or some mom & pop corp. that hired you on .you will serve for money purposes, in a way you sold yourself. you know the term they use "sell yourself to a job" now the question is who is the God of money , well just watch what people do for it, and in the name of it , and it's pretty obvious that it is a bartering chip to gain ground to demoralize, if you Love God how can you love Money also? they stand in opposition. Sometimes, even in rap, people SAY what they MEAN, people pour their emotions out onto the mic. But of course even when someone says something in plain and simple English, people are still going to reach for any interpretation that won't make their favorite artist look bad. "I sold my soul to the devil" MAY or MAY NOT actually mean "I sold my soul to the devil." Neither of us can say for sure either way, and if you do then you're a moron. I guess interpreting a sentence the way it is plainly written is a "conspiracy theory" nowadays.

This post right here is not meant to CONDEMN Kanye. Whether or not he sold his soul to the devil, he's still one of my favorite producers ever, and I'm going to let him do him and not let his actions/beliefs affect my life. I'm just pointing out the obvious for y'all. The pic I just posted is of Ye rocking a shirt with the Baphomet head on it. Do I look at this shirt and automatically think "OMG SATAN WORSHIPPER," no I don't. But it's a matter of connecting dots... how many people do you know wearing Baphomet t-shirts as a fashion statement? AND rapping about selling their souls to the devil? AND being the protege of a rapper who disrespects Christianity all throughout his raps (I'm still a fan of Jay-Z though, I don't let another man's religious beliefs affect me personally). Quite possibly, that's bc getting a$$ raped for record deal, has never been a known metaphor for anything. If some says, "but my hands are tied" in a conversation, it's generally taken as metaphor. Selling your soul is another such metaphor. Y'all dudes need to grow up, or find something more important to do with your time.

On a side note, it just seems like jealousy inspiring these threads mroe than anything. You said it yourself , that money is a symbol of power , but the question remains who's power? and why is the intent attached to getting money , always to scheme/ coerse, manipulate, lie ,decieve, or usually something against your will . I dont know what rape you are speaking of but I never read one instance of God inciting a rape upon anyone. however your argument about Killing someone out of Love , John 3:16- God so loved the world that he GAVE his only begotton son to DIE for the sins of the world.
