I never thought about doing that. Good lookin' on that man.

I bought a vestax 05 pro D samurai mixer and have been learning to scratch with it for the last 6 months or so. It feels nice and so far has worked perfectly. Has anyone else got a samurai mixer? How long can i expect my faders to last? It says in the booklet that they are practicaly indestructible and will still work in the presence of dust and fluid as they dont rely on a contact to work. Sounds too good to be true, has anyone got any experience of this?.

I'll put it to you like this. I got my regular 05 Pro II in Sept 1999. I had to replace the crossfader which was a regular pcv fader that following March ONLY because it got broke. The fader I bought in March to replace it with lasted from March 2000 to about December of 2003. I replaced it with a modified pcv fader in December of 2003 ONLY because I was curious about the modified fader. I put the other fader into my back up 05 and it is STILL going strong. The modified fader only lasted a year before it began bleeding and that's when I got the PnG fader. But my other fader has been going strong since March of 2000. So I imagine your digital fader should last a LOOOOONG time.
