Who cares if a bunch of producers are using his sound, that should make you stand out more. The more imitators there are the easier it is for original music to be appreciated.

You would think but that's not always the case..

People tend to go for the popular sound. No matter how played out it is... $.02
 
Also, it's not the sounds you use it's what you do with them. You can give two producers the same drums, synths, vsts, etc (which I guarantee you is the case these days anyways), and 10 times outta 10 the producer with more skill will make the better beat.

True. Popular sells. But JJ giving away his sounds doesn't change that. If you want to sell more just do the popular sound better.

I don't think he's "giving aways his sounds". I think he might have just made some presets for the purpose of selling them.... I could be wrong tho...

That's all I'm saying. I mainly use vsts that emulate real instruments. It's basically the same as a presets, but give those same vsts to another producer and he will make something different, unless he decides to emulate me.

So again calm down yall lol, let JJ get his money.

He seems to be expanding the hell out of his services lately. Along with the nexus/kontakt packs, he's put out like 3 beat tapes since December, another drum kit, and announced a beat subscription service along with a beat tag service. He's really becoming a "Business". But at the same his music seems to be becoming less inspired, which is unfortunate.

I'm the type to use certain synth sounds and never use that synth sound ever again in life. Never ever again. I'm probably not the only one. So why not sell the tweaked preset of a sound I'm not using any more? Hell......someone else gets rich off of it.........O.K.......good reason not to. Some Lex Luger ass dude comes and take over....changes the game and shit..... using my shit....... and all I can say is "that shit sound like my shit :( !" Who am I? Just a dude that sold some sounds. Who is he? That guy people saying "OMFG it's a So&SO beat" ....he all on videos and shit throwing money and showing his cars.....with a beat playing in the background...using my sounds he bought from me......didn't even mention my name.......fuuck so&so..... I made that foo who he is......[fix me a lony sandwich].....shit. These other foos got the nerve to make So&So synth presets.........or better yet dowloading my shit for free and selling it with so&so name.


Fuuck it....I quit! Yall can have this beatmaking shit. Selling all of my equipment. I'm too young to be this stressed.

But see....when you constantly creating shit then sounds that you create get old to you.....because you constantly creating new ones.
 
Anyone warez'd it yet? lol. He is selling sounds that he has used in previous tracks isn't he? He'll probably make new sounds for his new tracks as most of these (of what I have heard in the demo) can easily be made in other synths. He is genius. Has he posted in here yet?
 
From my point of view , nexus is a pretty good tool. But , in order to be creative and original , you need to make you own sounds. Nexus is a place to start . You can always tweak those sounds to get whatever you want and to create your own "sound" .

who cares about everybody having it? everybody uses the same stuff nowadays anyway but there are still very few hitmakers

Man you guys are killing me with all this bull about he should'nt sell his sounds or he should. Who gives a dam. I know I don't. This is a business and ya i produce for the love of music but at the end of the day I don't wanna work a 9 to 5 forever so I hustle and make beats on the side. I make dam good money on the side doing it. The thing is it does not matter what sounds you use, it's how you use it, it's how you mix it and it comes down to knowing what your doing. Ya JJ and SSO and Vybe make good money they took the right steps to get there and it took time it didnt happen over night. Just because you buy a sound kit from anyone hell Dr. Dre himeself that does not mean your gonna make any money selling beats. You must apply yourself and live eat breathe and shit this music game if you really wanna make it. Stop complaining and get off these guys dick's and get money!! There is enough money in this world for everyone to get a peice off the pie. I know I get's mine and I wish the best for all producers smdh...

Nice. I'd be a lot more interested if he released a pack of say, FM8 presets or something similar where we can follow how the sounds were synthesized. But I'm still going to be checking this out regardless
 
It's on mediafire, and on facebook too if you have a lot of producers on there, the link is being posted a lot. The expansion sucks honestly, all the sounds are from other expansions with minor edits, and he said he never used them and made them all in one day
