Seriously though how the fu(k could anyone like this kid ? I see his videos all over the place and I'm just boggled that he's actually a rapper and one of the most popular at that, honestly could anyone possibly have worse lyrics, flow subject matter than this guy ?

Wow, I guess Image really is everything to these kids.

Sorry for the rant but it's hard not to hate on this imbecile.
 
he says hes a goon, but he was getting a ****ing psch degree from a community college, AND he has the worst style EVER
 
Maybe you should start rapping. Stop hating the fact he gets paid for simple **** when you sit in front FL for hours and get mad you have to sell your beats for $50. Focus on you and stop listening/watching him if its that serious, seriously.

my fav types of music are east coast hip hop and oldies...that being said, streetlight and shawty are my jams lol. and I'm not a kid. you take it for what it is...he doesn't claim to be droppin knowledge or ne thing in fact he says he "plays dumb" in the dey know remix (another one of my jams that people wouldn't expect me to like).

I feel that music is music. 20 years ago people where shaking there ass to emcee spitting about money and the fame. It exist today and people get upset because rappers make money off of it? Think out side the box, man. Music is just that, MUSIC. You couldn't list to Bjork because she's doesn't make sense. You can't listen to Lil Wayne because he's a track whore. You can't listen to Soulja Boi cause he "killed hip-hop", its people like you who "killed hip-hop". Hip-hop still alive because cultures don't die.
 
I used to think a lot like boogie, but than i realized marketing has nothing to do with good music. I'm not mad he's making money, but that doesn't mean i cant say hes sh*tty and fake. His rhyme scheme is terrible, not as bad as some, but i think that one of the worst parts of the game today is that the line between musician and entrepreneur is getting blurred. Now we've got people saying "you can't hate him cuz he makes money", when the fact of the matter is that he is one of the worst artists in hip hop. and he isnt even making that much money...
 
Boggie I have no f'ing clue what your rambling on about, obviously I touched a sweet spot in your heart for Plies, please accept my apologies. Nobody mentioned anything about money. My point rappers are pieced together Mr.Potato heads that rely on image marketing towards little school girls, I personally don't give a fu9k who sells the most or has the most money that means nothing.
 
He sucks badly but for some reason, people dig him. I don't understand it but that's the way it works. More props to him though.
 
he didn't impress me with his first single when he first came out. is he still making music? i havent been paying attention.
 
he got a song called "dope boy", i got 2 pioneer subs in the whip and that $hit BANGS man, the bass line is killin!!! i love blazin and ridin around 2 that song..
 
because a guy decides to get educated does not negate any street knowlege he may have picked up before he decided to turn over a new lease on life. in a capitalist society, you capitalize on your skills and knowlege.

No doubt some of his beats bang but that's another story.

I'm no south hater either, you know, I'm mean I don't mind Jeezy, his lyrics arn't to special but at least he has flow and real cred. Plies has the worst flow ever and some of the worst lyrics combined into one rapper. Dudes lucky if he gets 2 words off per bar and they don't even flow at that.

So who's keeping him on everyone's tongue? Thank yourself for making threads about him for no reason. Why not make and participate in a thread about someone you like.....
