I teach guitar in nottingham but need to top up my income and must admit since I opened my studio last year I have made a bit of money teaching and very little recording

I am thinking of mind mapping other avenues to take my studio / production/ song writing to help me look after my wife and children

all the help would be great

I am not sure what "help" you are looking for...

...that article is nit really saying anything new... The "recording studio" business is not what itbused to be. The need is shrinking more and more each day.

The availability of quality recording gear at lower prices along with the advancement if digital recording which does not need the same specialized maintanance as tape is reducing the need for dedicated big commercial studios-- and it is making the need for small commercial studios nearly obsolete.

From a financial standpoint, definitely not the business to go into.
