Theres a lot of cats who get work, start acting really hollywood and you never hear from em again... Remember White Hot? Remember Meetro? the list can go on and on. And this aint a slight on them, they just got caught up. I'm the same way i was when i had no placements, i spoke the sameeee way when i first got here. i was arguing with people, i had the FP Taliban, i used to sit and E-Fight with people all day and make beats.. now i just make a little bit more beats than i E-Fight.
people dont like to hear anything from somebody in a better position than them unless its presented in a certain way or else they get offended. Its cool though, i dont mind. People who know me in real life know how i am. I used to kick it on Ustream for hours back when only Me, Troup & Canei used to do them. Just listening to peoples beats on here, and i had over 100 users in there with little to no placements. So if im arrogant then i'll be that lol

fu@k school and college it corrupts people's minds. people can't even get jobs when they come out of college these days. Yeh I'm with you on the attainiable lifestyle but what I do is encourage young people to follow their dreams I'm just saying older people always try to discourage younger people from following their dreams because they didn't accomplish their's( no diss) not saying you didnt but when a kid gets out of highschool their parents always come at them with that college shit smh

LOL oh my. The BEST way to make a million dollars is to go to college/university and get areal degree. Engineering, sciences, law, finance. That is how you make money. If you get a bachelors in any of those categories at a good school, you'll be making a lot more money than those student loans in no time.
But you wouldn't know anything about that because you're the next big music producer that's going to make 6 figures by selling beats on soundclick...

That's the most retarded comment I heard in a while, but it seems to be the general mentality among young blacks...at least here in detroit. I remember reading an article saying the illiteracy rate in detroit is 47%. I don't know if that's accurate or not, but with the mother ****ers I run into on a daily basis I wouldn't doubt it.
...and it's not just people with dreams saying **** school. Instead of putting in effort towards going to school and/or getting a decent job, some people would rather kill you and steal your shit, sell drugs, etc. I just don't get where people's minds are at today. SMH.
Sure, having a degree doesn't guarantee you a job, but let's say you have two people competing for the same job. One with a degree and one without. Who do you think is going to get hired? A bachelor's degree is like the equivalent of a high school diploma 30 years ago. Having just a high school diploma doesn't mean shit these days, take my word for it. Soon, a bachelor's won't even be enough. You're absolutely right about the school/college business being a big hustle, but so is the food business. Does that mean you won't buy food?
College isn't just about getting a job. It also shows you to be more tolerant of other people's cultures and way of thinking. You get introduced to people and cultures that you wouldn't have otherwise.
By the way, I'm not just some spiteful old dude going on a rant. I'm under 25.

1. School isn't just about memorizing facts. Have you ever paid attention in math class? Science? Middle/high school doesn't teach much as far as useful knowledge but it does prepare your brain for university where you learn REAL knowledge. Knowledge that's used to actually produce things and better this world. Let me explain through this picture:
2. School does teach kids what they can and can't do. It's called the LAW. It's being civilized. They are strict to us just like in prison because without it, there would be higher crime rates (murder, theft, etc).
3. Being trained to follow instruction is vital. When your dumb ass grows up and gets a job, you'll have a boss. You have to do what that boss tells you or else you get fired. Nobody cares that you think your boss is 'brainwashing' you.
4. Not a single point that was made in that video had any proof. Citations, experiment, nothing.

I never said that, but I'm willing to bet that in 2012, there are more successful young people that did go to school vs. those who didn't. Also, IMO a decent career would be one that doesn't require you to work until you're 72.
By the way, I'm under 25.
