JAMES you know Iceberg personally?

No, but he has just helped me out alot, he used to do hella fll studio tutorials back in the day. He chats with everybody on tinychat all the time to see what people need help on. He's not just in it for the money.

He created a group called the producer firm. For a one time fee of $99 you get all the information about the music indsutry you need, they have meetings all the time. maybe he needs image consulting lol but he really does know his business he has a degree in business management and he used to work at a insurance company he knows marketing better than postman.

I'm guessing you know the guy personally and can confirm this is true?

Can't believe I read this whole thread.

I will say that his Producers Firm idea is more than a lot of people are "attempting" to do. So he get props for that.

He's just not selling it well.

I bet if somebody told him that he came off as unprofessional that he'd call them a hater or something.

Anybody remember HustleMan from Martin? "What's Hattnin Chief? whut chu lookin' for?" ... sounds about like that a little.

You have to be Enron slick if you're going to snatch money from unsuspecting people.

Here are two things I know and there's nothing you can do about it...

1. People form an opinion about you from looking at you first
2. Secondly, People form an opinion about you when you speak

Represent yourself well, <your name here> is your brand.

...calling out BULLSHIT = death...lol.

...kids these days...

No, for his Producers Firm website.

What if someone had been contemplating trying to share resources with him... and then they saw that vid... do you think they'd want a partner like that.

Who did he help with that vid?

I know who he hurt with that vid... himself. (his image)

... why do you think Bangladesh had his FP presence erased when he bounced?

... can't take it back, it's on Youtube. I guarantee somebody downloaded it.

There's a certain amount of NET-TIQUETTE you have to have if you're going to do business on the web. Don't say "I'm a business man and my company is blah, blah, blah..." and then somebody hits Youtube and see that you fly off the handle over the smallest things, go on tirades about stuff you don't really know, etc.

The internet has now become a valid extension of the REAL WORLD, it's not JUST THE INTERNET anymore.... if you're using your real name or representing your company.

Sort of like people do things at home and with friends that they don't do at work. The internet is a hybrid of both if you do business on the internet and try to "be yourself" on it too. Pick some middle ground and roll with that, lol. Don't try to be professional on one site and a butthole on another one. Which one is the real person?

There's about 30 members in the firm. When I get the money I'm joining.

BE CONCERNED WITH WHAT PEOPLE THINK ABOUT YOU.

You could do the promo vids for him and get your money back.

What are you looking to get from joining. I didn't watch the vids after I was turned off by the presentation.

What are you looking to gain that you can't find anywhere else.

... also, I bet another "fee" will surface after that $99 lol.

I am really concerned with what other people in certain situations think about me. When I go to court, I get a haircut and dress up.

That wasn't advice though, lol. They were facts, you posted "advice".

I got to where I am today by knowing those two LITTLE things.

I actually got this job because I dressed nice at night school. True story.

The professor asked what software I used at work and I said PeopleSoft. It's for payroll.

He said "You sure do dress up for a payroll guy, lol"

I said "They don't dress up where you work, I need to work there then, lol"

After class he said "I have a person that's not performing well, give me your resume the next time you come"

.... it started as banter about the way I was dressed. The way I spoke made him feel that I fit in with the corporate culture where he was a manager.

It's okay, they make nice clothes for everybody and people don't have to speak slang and broken English all day, lol.

he's not like postman lol

I've only seen a few seconds of Postman's vids too.

People know his name so he must be on to something though.

Postman has a 6-disc DVD set on Marketing/Selling Beats tho...

a few people on here bought it and said it was the truth.

I know people who brought all of his courses and haven't sold a damn thing

I understand calling somebody on the carpet. Nothing wrong with that.

I just don't know if the guys he was going after really even care about him though.

Did he say names? I didn't watch after I saw him have his shirt off. I clicked on the vids on the side where he was trying to promote some website.

When he said "I'm about to go to the gym..." I thought "why am I watching this?"

How do people make these vids, are they talking someone in particular. What if the people they're talking about know nothing about the vid that's been made about them. Is this an attempt to get a response from the aforementioned people? I don't know what the purpose of this vid is. He said he was the top paid producer... how does he know that? He's not the best "sounding" producer on Soundclick by far. Weird vid.... and he shot all future business in the foot with that ONE vid. No one is going to want to partner with or help out a hot headed - unprofessional person.

In boxing they say protect yourself at all times.... in business you should protect your brand at all times. One rant vid kills everything else that's ever been done.

Where's the Bill Gates rant vid where he goes off on Apple?

Bill Gates - "Apple! ha ha apples rot son! worms and ish homie! Windows protect you from the elements dog. Apple... psst.... apple sauce is more like it cause we're going to smash on you homie! Whut!"

Rome it's marketing, he just doesn't know how to properly go about it. His speech/accent/presentation is off and comes across more as ghetto than professional. I couldn't believe the ****ups in some of his videos but i do believe that he is genuinely interested in helping others out.

When you're selling something or trying to have people listen to you, you must open up your speech by introducing the "enemy". In this case the "enemy" is "the producer that is lying to the public about his sales". His goal was to position himself as the "hero". Subconsciously he's telling people, "these guys are lying to you and misguiding you, and i am here to save you... so join my Producers Firm".

That's all it is. It's not a bad thing but if he wants people to join his firm or w/e he really needs to package himself in a more professional manner.

Okay, after viewing his youtube, I call bullshyt.

How you the highest paid producer on soundclick and you can't get past 200 views on ANY of ur vids? Why aren't your beats in rotation like Superstar/JJ/Vybe/ect? How u got any degree in business and don't know all this stuff you doing is bad looks from every ethical business standpoint?

As I said before, $300 a day can make you 6 figures in a year. If you on ya grind, thats 2 $150 exclusives a day with days off annually. If you also sell leases that makes it easier. If you also collect royalties and hit major artists with beats from time to time, that makes it easier. If you've properly positioned yourself, these type tasks aren't unrealistic at all, anyone with "business sense" shouldn't be oblivious enough to this to try to call "someone out" from what looks like a B.S. apartment.

I'll just let the cat out of the damn bag...

Nobody can tell you how to sell beats. You could put up a VIP Soundclick page and put Vybes beats on it and not sell jack ish because your name isn't Vybe.

It's that simple. I'll buy a Shasta and be just as happy as people that paid more for a Pepsi... the people buying Pepsi don't notice a HUGE taste difference they just don't want to say they bought the "cheap" soda. That's where all of that branding talk comes from.

There are people that make beats better than Kanye but if you put Kanyes name on the artwork... the song will sell more.

who needs to sell beats when you got a bunch of suckers willing to pay big money on advice on how to sell beats.

are people that desperate to know how to become successful on sites like soundclick. You'll never be Johnny, you'll never be vybe, you'll never bee SSO.. i remember White Hot used to parade around the forums talking about how much money he made and how Ace Hood reached out to him to work on records.

wheres he at now?
