In FL studio 9

What are better VSTs to do accomplish the same thing? I dont mind the time and the effort it takes, but gettin the right sound is a bit inconsistent.

^ slice x also comes with fl, when i used fl studio i prefered slice x over edison...actually a pretty easy program to use, and its dope.

audacity, its free...easy to use...and u can record into it

the options are endless nowadays. i use an mpc 2000xl now, i like hardware but u can find a ton of software the pretty much do the same thing.

I believe Edison, SliceX and FL Slicer are the best soft-choppers (software chopping tools) out here right now.

Audacity is also cool and SoundForge 6 at one point was cool just before FL finally came with Edison.

For anyone needing help with sampling/chopping/triggering in FL Studio check out SampleSimple on YouTube YouTube - ‪Chaîne de SampleSimple‬‏ - there's a variety of FL Sampling videos on there.

Yup I use Edison as well to slice the sample then drop it in Fl WaveTrvlr to cut it up in the piano roll
