while mushrooms are a bit much (im assuming you don't partake in the practice of illegal substances), you probably are thinking too much. especially when its the chops that are fine but you can't "put it all together" i ran up against this recently and realized i was thinking too much.

have some beers and work late at night, it will vanquish that inhabition, just record all that your doing and listen to it in the morning. even if it sucks you will still have "popped that cherry" and gotten a track out of the way.

Late night sessions always seem to bring the best out in my creativity.....I just work a super hard job so most evening I come home and sleep!

Recently I have been trying to clear whole days to dedicate to making music but I just cant get back in the groove. I think collaborating with other producers/musicians/artists is the best way forward.......hopefully.

depending on what kind of music you make now, make something different. when im uninspired to make trap-pop soundclick beats i flip some samples and work with local artists. if you are mostly working with samples get a new vst and make something with the sounds from that. another thing that makes me less inspired is if i listen only to my own music. since ive been working on a mixtape with dudes from my area all ive been bumpin is my own shit which definitely cut down on my new beats output. Discover new artists and get inspired by what they're doin. lately i've been listening to a lot of mike posner and yelawolf which has definitely inspired me after only listening to flocka and jeezy for a month. just switch it up, try something new.

only time i go outside is at night to go to lectures, work and then make beats

even as a waitor, i have been known 2 b at work like 6 hours and not even say hello
