I need help on purchasing monitors, audio interface?

No longer working with a friend, and cant use his interface and monitors.

I do trip hop, instrumentals for artists

my setup is mac i7
controller keyboard
dual monitors
launchpad

running Ableton 8

I know the basics, but have gotten a million different opinions....so how about a few more lol

I have been looking at the Adam ax5's and the HS80's, but my buddy said for my room studio 80's are too big. he also said I don't need to start out with the Adam's better to get Rokit's spend rest of the money on Preamp? I just want to build a setup I wont have to rebuild in a year. My budget is 2000, but it would be cool to get a spend it all and a 1/2 or 3/4 idea.

my workflow only needs 2 ins, as all my sounds are libraries or keyboards.
 
spend the money on a decent pre amp , buy krk's probably 6's and save up for the adams , then you could sell the krks too
BUT by the time you save up u might actually like the sound of the krks
 
I have the adams 7 and the hs50s and had krks 8 and m-audio v4(dont laugh) Ill say go with the hs50s if you have a small room or live in a apt but this monitors Are great for anything
