Yeah Im going through this now. I actually gave up for nearly a month because I was frustrated and I felt like I was going nowhere.

just purchased an ableton license and had my computer destroyed by a friend :( producing on my gf's computer is forcing me to make the best of what I've got so reading this inspires me to keep pushing forward!

Just gotta stay positive and keep moving forward, your beats today should make last weeks ones look bad

Word, it takes some serious dedication and determination to achieve anything worth having. Music is definitely not an exception. Of all of the beatmakers out there, very few stick with it due to losing interest or if they aren't making money. Interest is lost when you don't feel like you're progressing. In reality, it just takes time that some people can't to put in. You have to make time if something means the world to you.

Ears...too ture. I wish I had more guidance before I started live sound :(

The idea about setting deadlines for each track to pump out as much as you can is a great idea!

My advice to beginner is (btw im a beginner too) get a audio interface and studio headphones akg 77 for example (my studio setup ist lexicon alpha and akg 77 i paid 120$ for it)
