I use Hypersonic VST in my FL Studio 5. Several of my songs have been saved in the .flp format and contain hypersonic instruments. I tried to move these songs from my desktop PC to my laptop by saving them on a CD-RW, but when i open them once they're on the laptop, I get an error: "Error loading file (Sync, 23891 bytes)", and the whole hypersonic console pertaining to each song has lost all of the settings I saved in it (eg. instead of the, say, piano to midiout1, bass to midout2, drums to midiout3, there is only a 'sawtooth' in midiout1 and all the other slots have become empty, which of course i never use 'sawtooth'). All of them get this error after being transplanted

What's going on here?
Hypersonic can't be transplanted?:

Yes. Both the laptop and the desktop have the same versions of Hypersonic and FL Studio installed in them; one dongle. Before trying to bring over my old projects I've even been producing new songs on the laptop which of course are completely fine and don't have the error because they are 'citizens' on the laptop, where they were made in. the songs im trying to import from my desktop however are erroneous immigrants... why why why

Maybe you should try saving all of your projects as an "FLP-ZIP" (Save As.. [Zip])

If that doesnt work i would say next reinstall hypersonic on laptop. else; maybe corrupt version of hypersonic. mine works fine :)

so you're saying that you can do what i tried without any problems (transplant song files from computer to computer and not lose hypersonic settings within each of those files)?

Yeah I do it all the time. between mine and my co-producer's studio. i've also had to reformat several times and have only reinstalled the apps but loaded same orig. FLP-ZIP.

I've never saved as a strictly FLP FILE since ive used FL>> cause I know the FLP-ZIP contains all sound samples, etc.

[edit] Now that I think about it, i dont even think he has the same version of Hypersonic. At least they are two diff DL's (shh)

Wich version of Hypersonic do you have? I used to have that problem with Hypersonic 1 I don't know if there's an update for 1 that fixes it but I know I don't have that problem anymore since I got Hypersonic 2.

PS : Whatever you do, when you backup your music always make sure to bounce everything to audio too.

i HAD the original version of hypersonic and the original add-on patch. BUT AS OF 3 HOURS AGO I NOW HAVE HYPERSONIC 2 AND IM LOVIN IT (R) :)

I recently bought Hypersonic 2 and it is not my favorite go to VSTi. I completely forget that I have Sampletank on my machine. I got Hypersonic 1 after I got Sampletank 2. The only thing Sampletank has on Hypersonic is the interface on how you can add effects.

ive never used sample tank. maybe i should though. I was a big hypersonic fan before, but this version has alot of different sounds, full compatible with prev ver, GM MIDI, less buggy GUI / sexier GUI.. its wonderful

Welcome to the darkside!!!

I've been putting in new work with Hypersonic 2 for about a month now. Love it.

I just copped the Korg Legacy Digital Edition last week, for that Korg M1 plugin. I'm good... for now.

i love korg legacy coll. havent tried new digi vers. only thing why i dont use legacy in my tracks is because of the CPU demand. its hard to make a complete beat with that plus other vst's (inst. and fx) .. I have used it than exported to wav. FL needs a built in freeze function

thanks. i'll try zipping them then... while we're on the subject however, tell me about hypersonic 2. does it have better strings that are more agressive (less attack)? there was someone on the cubase forum who claims that after he installed version 2, all his projects that he did with version 1 weren't compatible.
really?

You're friend must have done something wrong during installation. I was afraid that HS2 would make my HS1 incompatible, or at worst i would have HS1 AND 2 installed / using them seperately.

WRONG: upon installation, HS2 will find HS1's directory, and ask you to install it there. It will then 'upgrade' every compononent about HS1. Basically, HS2 IS HS1 + all the Modules + a bunch new sounds.

As far as the new sounds ??? LOVELY. It seems like they've made a lethal enhancement to it's internal generator. the algorithm. something. i can think of plenty strings and tech synths that i've fallen in love with instantly. PLus there are guitars that make it EASY to make rock/metal/jazz songs. :)

Well, it didn't work. I zipped all of my song files (.flp) on my other computer and burned them to CD, transplanted them onto the laptop, unzipped them, and I still get the same error that I said at the beginning of this thread. damn. Still need help with this, people.. Stupid dongle

It seems as though you zipped them yourself ( like going to WinZip, or Zipping the file with MS Zip)

NO THIS IS NOT CORRECT::

I was speaking of an "FLP-ZIP" File which is created when choosing "Save As" and then change the file format from ".flp" to ".zip" and it will create a zip archive with your FLP and all sounds.

If this is what you did, then maybe you should try reinstalling your installation on both computers, ( both of them just to be sure that they are installed with most contingency )

Hell i have a .... non bought version .. and arent the bootlegs not supposed to work as good as the original? (unless you just have a messed up bootleg)

naw. i have the real thing. Hypersonic 1: $450+ of my own money ! So I know that both of my computers are running the exact same thing.

And I don't see why saving my flp's as flpZips would help. If they save sound files together with the song then I doubt that it saves VST settings since they are built into itself only.

But I will try...

i jus love FLP-ZIPS

u could be having a syncrosoft liscense control problem as well. damn thing is kinda buggy. only thing else i could suggest is completely remove from both pcs / reboot / reinstall / reboot.

If not then get a copy of HS2 and install , since it installs over HS1

Have you tried burning to a diff CDRW (im sure)

or you might want to try to transfer using another medium (USB Key, Flash Card, Email, FTP, etc)

If not then, it sounds like ur problem is just as it says... There is an error loading a particular sound, generally occuring when trying to Sync it with the app. (HS)

to completely iscolate the prob, note the instruments used, and try loading them manually (on the laptop) which SHOULD reproduce the problem letting you know which 'file' is giving the error

also use Scan Disk to check ur physical drive for errors which could be causing invalid sectors where ur HS is installed

Ive realized that the Hypersonic on my desktop was upgraded with the GM patch, so it became version 1.1.2
The version on the laptop is the original untouched Hypersonic 1.0

But I still don't see how that would completely mess with every other patch. The GM was nothing but an expansion set, and I never used those patches in any of my songs, so why would it get an error for every one of my files? I don't think Steinberg's expansions rearrange the whole instrument orientation does it?
