Does anybody know how to use HyperSonic with FL XXL? When I add a channel and use hypersonic it really slows down my computer and freezes it but when I rewire it, it seems to work fine. My only question is how do I use multiple tracks. Example: I am using one sound on a track, but now I want to add some strings to another track, how do I do that with hypersonic FL rewire? When I clone the track in FL it doesn't work. Please Help.

umm, im not too sure why ur rewiring hypersonic to fl, no need for that....when you open up hypersonic you put ur port number to 1, go to channels, add one and click on the midi out, be sue to put the port 1 on the midi out, and for every channel in the midi out, should correspond with every channel in hypersonic

Yeah
Go to your master channel mixer insert Hypersonic 2
Up on the top right of Hypersonic change the port to 0 or 1 or whatever you feel like, I use 0 personally.
Now in your Sequencer insert a midi out and change the Port number on the midi out to the same number as Hypersonic.
Now in hypersonic in channel 1 select the sound you want to use.
Now in channel 2 select a new sound.
Go back to your sequencer and insert another midi out. Change the port number to the same one as hypersonic and this midi out channel should be automatically at 2 but just in case it isn't change it to 2.
Repeat for all channels you need.

That does work, but now you can't route each individual sound to separate mixer channels for editing

i would have never thought to put the vsti through the mixer, but to add on to the question, how would you go about sending each sound from sampletank to a different mixer channel? im really stuck on that, and cant figure it out

Sadly, there isnt a way to route the separate channels in Hypersonic to the FL mixer

the only way to use dif instruments from Hypersonic or sample tank is to open another instance of them,

so if you want to use strings, go to the channel menu and then add hypersonis and then select strings,
then if you want horns, go to the channel menu again and open another hypersonic (or you could just clone the original Hypersonic, same thing) and select horns

the obvious draw back is that the more you open, the slower your computer gets, thats the only reason i'm thinking of switching to something like cubase, but i hope the next version of Fl will let you do this so i wont have to switch

Peace!

that will waste hella cpu, quick!

theres no other way around it?

damn man how much cpu does it take, im getting hypersonic right now but i have a laptop with basic hardware on it, this sucks i guess i need to invest in a very good PC

opening multiple hypersonics never slowed down my PC at all. I remember it slowing down my PC when i 1st installed it, and i even made a forum EXACTLY like this one cause i didn't want to rewire.

somehow, i uninstalled and reinstalled and now i have 2 instances in my FL options. it's weird. one says Hypersonic 2 and one says Steinberg Hypersonic 2, even though it's only installed once on my PC. For whatever reason when i load the one that says Hypersonic, it works perfectly, whereas the Steinberg Hypersonic is the one that works like crap. I called them up but they had no idea what that's all about, and i dont care, long as it works :)

Go figure.

i know what happened now actually.
FOR THOSE WHO INSTALL STEINBERG HYPERSONIC 2
ON FL STUDIO 6.08 XXL YOU CANNOT USE IT AS A DXI
it just doesnt work at all it slows down so much that you cant hear the first note played.. i was about to record midi to a channel and the first note i pressed literally almost exploded my laptop. You have to use Hypersonic 2 as a Vsti, its not originally installed as one so you have to change your search vsti folder in FL to your C:/Program Files/VstPlugins and then it will appear in the list after searching. then click on it and exit the list. you should see simply "Hypersonic" as a vsti instead of Steinberg Hypersonic 2. Now it works on my laptop 512 memory 1.3 ghz perfectly fine about 3 or 4 % cpu usage on FLs monitor
anyone having trouble with this im sure youll appreciate it...i was so pissed when it was so slow it was not easy to get.

you know, when my cpu crashed i had to reinstall everything, and i reinstalled sampletank, and for some reason it installed as dxi, maybe iwasnt paying attention but when i opened it in fl, the cpu jumped high just loading st, is something wrong with dxi compared to vsti??

yes something is wrong with the dxi in FL 6.0.8 release, use vsti if possible

I've never had any problem with Hypersonic 2 or any other DXI's. FL 6.1 is out now, maybe upgrading will help. On the other subject, opening more instances of Hypersonic won't kill your CPU, it's no different than using multichannels. If your computers don't comply with the minimum requirements of Hypersonic(512mb 1.4gHz I believe), that could cause these types of problems. Mine barely drains any CPU.

ENABLE MULTI OUTPUT!! lol click that option on the vst wrapper

THANKS SOO MUCH!!! That helped me out, The steinberg Hypersonic was freezing it up and now I found the other Hypersonic and it started working. I been waiting to use these sounds! Im excited now!!

The one letdown of hypersonic to me is the cpu usuage. I'll start at 0 then open hypersonic and link 2 or 3 sounds to each other, add the eq and compression and my cpu usage is at 25-32
