OK. Hustle and Flow..... Its a movie! That keyboard......neh eh! 3-6 did not use that keyboard to make the beat, believe that. Something else you may not have noticed.... they were making multitrack recordings on a 2-track tape recorder. Neh eh! Did they have a mixboard???? Lol. A lot of cats must have been making music in that neighborhood, cause that pawn shop had a lot of condenser mics in it. That's very unusual. Anyway, just a taste of the "Mad mad real world".

lol, when tom cruise makes a pen into a bomb in mission impossible you don't go out and by a bunch of inkpens to practice that! Movie = fantasy. Next you'll think beating up Ludacris will get you a record deal!

roland put out a keyboard with speakers on it that was pretty much a juno-106 with speakers built in it.. i think it was the juno-106..
and sk1's have speakers

but yeah that's a pretty good rule of thumb

Roland HS-60. Yeah its a Juno-106 with built in speakers.

I think the Casio keyboard from "Hustle & Flow" is a SK-5. My friend used to have one of them back in the day. I sampled some Star Wars record and made some sick beats on it. It samples at 8 bit so it's got a gritty sound. An EMU SP1200 or an Akai MPC 60 samples at 12 bit.

LOL. this thread belongs in the noobs, nooobs section. This is almost the lowest of the low. Lower than I want to sound like neptunes.
