Hello everyone!
I've been clubbing in NYC for a while now. I would like to try out mixing something of my own. How do I start?
I mean from getting the equipment to mixing techniques???
Can anyone recommend any books or even better websites for beginners? Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot,

Trippynyc.

hey hello and welcome to onlineDJ.com!

ok... well feel free to ask any question in the forums, and also.. something great would be to use the SEARCH tool at the top of the forums pages.

By using the search tool, you have access to more than 11000 messages posted by music producers, composers, DJs, etc.. It is a great source!

ALSO.. Very soon, a "music dictionary" will be added to this site, which will be a great tool to use while you are learning all this stuff.

You can even learn how to compose music yourself (synthesizers, sequencer, etc..) because this site is not only DJ oriented but "electronic music in general".

In the future, a full mixing-scratching guide section will be added, explaining all the techniques, with a LOT of photos, sound clips, and... videos! yes! But it will take some time before we add this.

Until then, enjoy what is already here. I hope you learn a lot about music!

Take care, see you around
once again, welcome to onlineDJ.com !
