How to reproduce the 'Akon' type vocals?

What do you mean Akon style?

Your'e gona have to rip his vocal cords out and implant them into your own.

Are you taking about the mickey mouse vocal effect? If you are then it's just a simple case of pitch shifting
 
y'all give bad advice. On Live you wanna increase the semitones on your voice and add the chorus effect and tweak it to your liking. I like to move that circle on the grid toward the upper right.

If you are serious I can tell you by telling you which plugins and effects you should use. But I know you're not and that is disrespectful to the OP who had a legitamete question.

you guys are making it sound like youre 100% original and never got an idea from someone else
 
what's akon type vocals. he doesn't have anything that special added onto his voice. if you mean how do you get vocals that sound like akon's voice.... well that's gonna be hard.

There's a difference between wanting to sound like and getting ideas from someone.
 
i think hes trying to find out if theirs a plug-in that gives your voice an accent

I gotta disagree with this. His vocals are way overprocessed. Have you ever seen him sing live? Everytime I've seen him appear live he lip syncs. Pretty sure he's a studio artist.
 
i'm not sure if this is what he's talking about, but can anyone tell me how to create that flange or phase sound on your vocals like t-pain's on "i'm in love with a stripper"
