How To Patch Your DX21 in FM8

seen this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiEFahcDXcM)and i have no clue how to path it the same way in the fm8 so if some one can help explain or patch it for me it would be a big help. do you have a DX21?

IIRC, the DX21, DX27, DX100, and TX81Z all use the same engine. If true, all you should need to do is spit out the patch into your PC via SYSEX over MIDI, and import that patch into FM8. FM8 reads DX7 and TX81Z patch data via SYSEX files and it's pretty good at it too.

i have the dx21 patch but what i am having a problem with is the dx7 language is not the same in the fm8 . so,to set it up with the same settings as in the video is a bit hard since i am not sure what is what .

im using pro tools 8 ...i came close but just not there ....pissing me off really . trying to copy what he did in the fm8 .

use midi OX and dump the patch you want to a file via SYSEX. Import the file directly into FM8
