How to control velocity level of each note when using guitar rig?

Okay, I'm using FL Studio and when I'm playing Real Guitar, I like to adjust each individual notes velocity to give it a more realistic sound. However, when I add guitar rig the note velocity is no longer triggered by the Daw's (FL Studio) built in velocity editor. Is the only way to control each velocity level is by using an EQ and adjusting the High, Mids, & lows that way? Or, must I export as MP3 without guitar rig, and then add guitar rig to it?
 
Guitar rig is an fx, so the only reason it would change your velocity sensitivity is if you have a compressor or limiter in the chain - rethink your fx design and try again.....
