I doubt she is. Wouldn't be surprised if she chose not to be associated with black people, though.

Why?

Well, black people hate. They are small minded. They think suffering is cool. And so on.

I mean, look at the Jay-z, 50 situation: all because people have gotten their money, people claim they're illuminati or sell-outs? WTF?

I thought the ghetto was a place people plotted and planned to get out of? Not stay IN?!!?

Shouldn't we be looking to these two and the rest of the rich niggas as symbols of hope that it is possible to make something of your life regardless of background?

But no, all we do is hate. I think 50's music is garbage, personally. But professionally, I respect that nigga for his business acumen. Same with Soulja Boy.

So, to answer your question, Alicia Keys probably just knows the deal when it comes to what black people feel is the embodiment of being black. And she chooses to, well, stay out of it.

Sometimes I hate being black because the people around me are not open minded. The same routine day in day out.

If I got to Alica Keys position, I'd be just as cagey with who I associate with.

My $400.

you know, ppl say the same shyt about Lauryn Hill being racist and I don't get it

Oh, by the way, to the defenders of all that is black, before you make a retort stop and think about where you are in your life and where you see yourself in the next few years.

Live and let live, I believe. if you're happy being in the same place day in day out fine. Me, i'll take what i can get, thanks.

The best and worst thing about white people is that they follow rules in my opinion. Which is bad for you if you don't but good for you when it comes to getting money.

Being brutally honest here, none of that black/white power bullsh**.

People say all sorts of sh**. Good luck to these two if they are racist. Long as they're where they wanna be in their lives it's no hate from me.

Personally, I don't let racism phase me. It shouldn't phase you either.

^^^^^ by you, i mean everyone reading this who's black and ambitious, not just YOU, GST lol

she shot my friend in the knee and screamed "ALL YOU WETBACKS GON' DIE!!!!!"
Thats wat made me think she was racist

NormalisBoring, no beef, no anymosity, just wondering ginuinely what sparked that post. I ask, cause I have my days when I feel the same way. Not to the extent that I generalize it towards all "black people". Never speak for any entire group without saying "the entire human Race". If it can't be said true for that, it can't be made true by something as insignificant as pigmentation.

Irony is, I always heard it the other way...that Alicia doesn't like white people. Not cornfirming either/or.

Yeah, thats what i've heard. I think she was misquoted as saying something like "white people invented gangsta rap to kill black people".

I think "White People" was misquoted and she said "government", but then she was wearing an AK-47 on a chain and looked "militant", you know how it goes downhill from there.

Not saying you misquoted it, I've heard it said that way a hundred times. "Da White Man", "Whitey", but never "the gov't" and I'm pretty sure that was her statement.
